Committees
The River Region Chamber of Commerce is largely volunteer-based. Only a combination of the Chamber staff and committed membership volunteers will ensure the Chamber is successful in accomplishing its mission.

Member Excellence Team
Chairperson Jackie McCreary, Stone Pigman
Membership Excellence Team has three primary responsibilities. Member
retention, recruitment, and increasing involvement. This team strives to
increase awareness and engagement complimenting the strategic goals of the
Chamber.
Ambassadors
The Ambassadors play a critical and influential role with the Chamber. These individuals serve as the public relations arm of the Chamber. Ambassadors meet and greet new members, touch base with new members throughout the year, participate in ribbon cuttings and serve as regular volunteers at Chamber functions. These individuals are also known as the “face” of the Chamber.
Public Policy
Chairperson Mike Palamone, Urban Systems Associates, Inc.
The Public Policy committee works to stay abreast of legislation and emerging issues that affect business. This group will interface and collaborate with the elected leadership of our
member parishes on issues that improve or affect business.
Business Development
Chairperson Sheila Young Butler
The Business Development Committee is focused on “value”. This committee will organize business seminars, networking events, Lunch 'n learns and general membership luncheons.
River Region Professional Inclusion Council
Chairperson Tanyia Tregre, Family Home Care
The Professional Inclusion Council seeks to educate and to increase awareness of the benefits of an all inclusive environment for competitive business development.

October is “Diversity Awareness” month and the River Region Chamber Professional Inclusion Council delivered children’s books on diversity and inclusiveness to local libraries in St. James, St. John and St. Charles Parishes. The books were donated by the River Region Chamber, Entergy, Dow, Carter Law Group, LLC, Barnes & Noble, Borders, International Matex Tank Terminal and Subway. The books are displayed in each library in the children’s section in a “Diversity Corner”. The mission of the River Region Chamber Professional and Inclusion Council is to educate and to increase awareness of the benefits of an all inclusive environment in competitive business development.
